Here are two relaxed options nearby. Chez Janou serves Provençal dishes in a lively bistro setting. Les Philosophes is a classic Marais brasserie with a broader menu and outdoor tables.

For a quiet walk, start at Île Saint-Louis, cross to the Left Bank and browse the bookstalls along the river. The Musée d’Orsay is nearby if you’d like a museum stop.

Would you prefer a relaxed walk or time indoors? I can shape a route around that.

It’s duck leg slowly cooked in its own fat, usually served crisp on the outside. It’s rich and savoury. For something lighter, look for grilled fish (“poisson grillé”) or a vegetable tart (“tarte aux légumes”).
